Start the ball rolling...
Family history is a selfless work. It requires time and love for the people you find. You cannot be selfish and expect to receive the same blessings and inspiration as someone who completely loses themselves in the work. I am by no means selfless yet, but I hope this class and the time I will spend working with my ancestors names and learning their stories will help me on that road.
You have to do the work for them, the ancestors that have died and are no longer able to complete their ordinances themselves. I am not yet endowed, so I cannot do much for them, but I can be baptized and confirmed for them and start the ball rolling.

to begin...
I have two projects that I am doing for my Family History class. One of them is "compile your own life history" which I am doing through this blog and my Rootsmagic file, as well as new.familysearch.org. I am also hoping to obtain information from family members that they would like to share with me. Stories are helpful in finding out about our ancestors and who they were as people, and I want to know as much as possible.
The second project is more of a collage of projects. I am already doing two of them, "seek out your kindred dead as far as you can" and "participate in family history programs", every week in the computer lab. I am also going to collect as many stories and pictures and combine them in a book of remembrance. I just thought I'd officially state my plans for this class...
Mission statement
I am making this blog for a Family History project. I will report all progress, photos, and documents here. I hope it doesn't disappoint.
